Before you buy property in another country, it is very important to know the country’s laws and guidelines for property ownership.

Costa Rica does not have exotic or complicated laws regarding foreigner-ownership of property. In fact buying property in Costa Rica is less complicated than purchasing in the U.S.

An important procedure to know is that all real estate transactions in Costa Rica require working with an attorney.
